• Maintenance dose: 500 mg once every 28 days thereafter.

1. Injection Site Reactions

   • Pain, swelling, or bruising at the injection site.

2. Hot Flashes

   • A common side effect due to estrogen suppression.

3. Fatigue and Weakness

   • Often seen during long-term therapy.

4. Nausea

   • Mild nausea can occur but is usually manageable with dietary adjustments.

5. Bone Pain and Joint Pain

   • Associated with estrogen deprivation, especially in postmenopausal women.

6. Elevated Liver Enzymes

   • Regular liver function tests are advised during treatment.

• Thromboembolic Events (Blood Clots): Increased risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism.
• Liver Damage: Severe liver dysfunction, although rare, can occur, requiring regular monitoring of liver enzymes.
• Allergic Reactions: Rare but serious hypersensitivity reactions can occur.

• Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Fuvestrol should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, as it may harm the fetus or infant.
• Liver Impairment: Dose adjustments may be required in patients with moderate to severe liver impairment.
• Bleeding Disorders: Caution is advised in patients with bleeding disorders or those on anticoagulant therapy, as intramuscular injections may cause bleeding or hematomas.
